cropped-logo_small.jpg Ashleigh Rauen trains sporthorses out of bucolic Vashon Island, specializing in starting young horses under saddle. Her established program focuses on creating well rounded mounts with the skills and confidence to excel in any sporthorse discipline. When she is able to get away from the barn for a weekend, she enjoys competing in Dressage and Eventing. Before going pro, Rauen honed her skills under world class professionals: apprenticing with Grand Prix Champion Jessica Wisdom and then in Germany with Olympian and veritable dressage queen Helen Langehanenberg. She now trains regularly with Tami Masters and Jenn Hansen of Starfire Farm for jumping, and Jen Verharen of Cadence, Inc. and Lisa Boyer for Dressage. She also hunts with the Woodbrook Hunt Club. Rauen has competed successfully through Preliminary level eventing, and is a USDF Bronze Medalist.
